Dr. Sam Khoury:
Dr. Khoury worked as the Senior Intangible Asset Manager of The Dow Chemical Company. He has over 25 years of intellectual property commercialization and valuation experience. In addition to the valuation of patents, trade secrets, trademarks and know-how, he developed training courses on technology assessment and valuation and has been retained as an expert witness to calculate damages from patent infringements.
Dr. Khoury’s experience extends to the development of IP strategies and consulting on monetization and commercialization of various forms of IP. Dr. Khoury also helps organizations leverage intellectual properties to maximize the financial benefits to businesses. Dr. Khoury applied his expertise in IAM to develop strategies for R&D projects, prioritize licensing opportunities and build a strong patent portfolio to support business opportunities. Well connected within the Fortune 1000 has brought many technologies from his clients to his colleagues in the Fortune 1000 companies and established good practices in negotiating fair licensing deals.
Dr. Khoury received his Ph.D. in chemistry from the University of Wisconsin in Milwaukee and his MBA in finance from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. He has also served as a trustee of the Licensing Executive Society (LES) for three years and chaired the “Valuation and Taxation” Committee for three years.
